Our Approach

Who We Are &
What We Do

Formerly known as the Harvey Miracle Team, we are excited to announce that we are now the Miracle Relief Collaboration League (MRCL). We are a registered non-profit corporation in the state of Texas. We serve those impacted by disaster events as we look for ways to connect needs with resources.

Rather than maintaining ownership of resources, our focus is on allocation, routing, and distribution. Through comprehensive review of existing infrastructures, social patterns, data analysis, collaborative input, and past experience, we specialize in getting things to the places where they can be best utilized by inspired and motivated volunteers - on time.

Our Story

Meet the Team

Every Miracle Relief Collaboration League team member is committed to making a difference to their community. We are a national disaster relief organization helping bring people’s needs together with resources. While over 200 volunteers have coordinated the distribution of over half a million dollars worth of supplies and donations during the time of Hurricane  Harvey, and collectively spent tens of thousands of hours volunteering - helping muck and rebuild hundreds of homes - and, formed relationships with dozens of organizations and companies, herewith you can find a few of the committed team members that keep the organization running on a daily basis.

Co-founder

Kathryn specializes in creating high performing teams across multiple disciplines. This is a skill that moves her career, her business and her clients’ businesses forward.  For the first time in Kathryn's life, an invitation to participate and lead with a disaster relief team during Hurricane Harvey allowed her to see how this skill can make a difference in the daily lives of others.  Being of service drives Kathryn's sense of purpose in life. Miracle Relief Collaboration League is now the vehicle that purpose lives inside of, allowing her to make a difference for those all over the United States and other places on this earth where weather-driven disasters impact people and animals.

Lawrence Ingerly

Marketing & Communications

Lawrence is a tall ginger. He is married to a short ginger. Before you ask, they don't have any baby gingers. Professionally, he has spent his career building marketing programs and branding for small businesses. Personally, he has way too many hobbies. Don't believe me? He brews beer, rock climbs, plays music, skis, competes in beard/mustache competitions, travels as much as possible, watches more movies than is good for him, loves board games and volunteers spare time donating his professional services (not in workaholic sort of way, but in a "he really loves what he does" sort of way).  He also may be a pirate (the good kind, obviously).

Born in Cali, Colombia, Martha moved to the USA with her family. Martha is the Marketing Director of Co-Parenting Into The Future. Martha discovered the full expression of her being through contributing to others, beginning with relief efforts during hurricane Katrina which devastated the Gulf Coast, U.S. in 2005. With hurricane Harvey, she founded “Leaders in Action,” and “Harvey Miracle Team.” She has volunteered in numerous organizations. She currently resides in Houston, TX with her 3 children and her inseparable dog “Shadow”.

Alice began helping natural disaster victims after hurricane Katrina; she decided to head to the disaster area and volunteer in Mississippi delivering needed items to those affected. Impacted by the devastation that she saw, Alice quit her job to volunteer for another six months in Mississippi and Louisiana. She has kept in touch with friends from Katrina relief, and every so often, volunteers again when help is needed. Alice worked in Wisconsin after the floods in 2006, in New Jersey after Hurricane Sandy in 2012, in Louisiana after the floods in 2016 and in Texas after Hurricane Harvey in 2017. In Texas, impressed by their commitment to being of contribution, she joined the MRCL Team.

With many years of both service and administrative experience, Brie Jones brings a keen eye for detail and a deep compassion for all people and animals. She is ever-excited to create new possibilities and consistently energized by mindful collaboration, rendering her a fantastic addition to our team. She is truly passionate about service lovingly tendered and is glad to lend a helping hand, a listening ear, or a gentle word of strength and encouragement in the face of adversity.

Dan Benedict is a U.S. Marine Corps Veteran and a rising senior at the Savannah College of Art and Design where he is studying UX design; the human centered design of products and solutions for human needs. He is a volunteer with the MRCL team, providing visual design services as well as rapid prototyping for the Harvey Miracle Relief Collaboration League.
